Claxton Evans County Cruisin' in the Country

If you need a reason to hold some semblance of training together over the colder months, get out now and start preparing for the 12th Annual Claxton Evans County Cruisin' in the Country event in Claxton, GA, mid-November.

This is a bike event that offers 26, 65 and one hundred mile routes for Saturday November 11th 2006, and a 40 mile route for Sunday, November 12th, 2006. I have not yet asked the organizers if skaters are welcome, but we were welcome back in 2003:

Not only did they bemusedly welcome us, they encouraged us in our first 100 miles on skates in the same day. Actually it worked out to about 102 miles. It was pitch black by the time we finished.

Yeah, it's South Georgia, but it isn't flat! I recommend this event but we should check with the organizers first about skating it. Please post  what you find out here if you do that before I do!
