ISU Long Track World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships 2009 Richmond CAN Olympic Oval Four Days of Free Internet TV

After last week's Salt Lake City (Kearns) Utah championships, where Shani Davis set two world records, the speed skaters head for what they say is the slower ice of Richmond, BC, to the oval where next year's Winter Olympics will be contested. There's controversy over whether the Canadian hosts have been allowing teams free access to the rink, but i don't care so much about that. If they want a home rink advantage, so be it. If they want to seem gracious and accomodating, so be that too.
It's all good either way. It's their country and their rink. They seem to have an advantage anyway when you think about all that ice time up there on the frozen rivers and canals. Olympics are not about countries and corporations are they? Otherwise if they were, we'd see commercials and country flags and medal counts. No it's the love of sport, my fellow Earthling.
I say this after only mentioning Shani Davis and the USA last week, but that's mainly because I had no time to find out what happened after trying to find video of it all, heh.
But this week will be a preview of the next WOlys and it's all going to be available live and free via streaming video (internet tv as some call it). Let's hope it goes well. I don't want to spend as much time trying to get this as I did not getting last week's action.

UniversalSports has the dates wrong on this but they do indicate there will be video on demand for the short track event too! It appears it will not be live streaming but VOD available later. But I don't know or it'd be in the title with the long track stuff.
