Roadskater.net Back and the United States Postal Service Now USP not USPS

Just a quick note to say sorry RSN was down a while. I had a power supply burn out and take along his mother on the way out. Thanks to timv for assistance in the effort to deny it was really dead with various parts to test. Thanks to tax day for making it all more pressure-packed, and to the USPS folk who were NOT THERE when I arrived with my usual at my usual 11:45 p.m. celebratory time. Sad. Bad enough to not have Krispy Kreme doughnuts and coffee. Worse still to see a lobby and parking lot full of people wondering what's up with that? Just as my turn came to buy the barcoded timed dated stamp, it must've run out of label stock because due to a "technical difficulty" it could no longer do first class. So I ran to the vending machine for 2 41 cent stamps and of course it couldn't give me my 18 cents change. Not a single USPS employee anywhere. The one day they can make us all feel a bit better about the whole tax increases and postal rate increases situation, and they're home, taking it easy. I put my forms sadly in the slot before midnight, wondering if there might be somewhere in that fluorescent sliver of light a person behind there, ignoring the last minute man and a throng of friendly but bewildered folk, just trying to pay the government at the last possible moment. Nope.
