Tour to Tanglewood for MS 2009 Free Bike Training Rides & Inline Skates Scheduled

These are the best free skrides and some of the best skrides in North Carolina, especially if you are on your way to getting into shape for the fall season of longer distances and weekend tours, like the awesome Tour to Tanglewood for MS. The support from the veteran rest stop heroes, Valerie and Elaine, is a good start to any ride. When the bike shops pitch in (some more than others) it can make it an incredible day out on the road with the bikes.

Skilled roadskaters are welcome, and this is the very best way to get to know the cyclists who ride the tour and many other rides in the Piedmont, NC and the southeast.

We'll miss the one on June 20 so we can support Tour de Kale (unless it's very wet in Denton and very dry in Burlington) but we had a really fine time in Burlington last year at J&L Bicycle and we hate to miss such a great free skride. But once someone puts skaters photos on the front of the hometown newspaper to advertise a ride, what can you do?

Here's a list of the 2009 Tour to Tanglewood rides. Sign-In starts at 7:30 a.m. and rollout is at 8:30 a.m., but we find it's best to be ready to roll by 8:20 a.m. or so at least, because once the safety talk begins, it's hard for them to not roll early.

Also, catch a rest room on the way to the bike shops when you can as there is often a long line for the shops' facilities, and you don't want to miss the start if you can help it!
