Watch Hours of Free Internet TV Speed Skating (Long Track and Short) On Demand and Live with Highlights and Recaps

Oh I am so sorry I didn't look this up before, even when I saw press releases earlier this year. I just never quite got to it until now. But now is good too. If you wish you could see long track and short track ISU world cup events on your television, well you might sometimes, but on your computer, you can see many hours of video from this year's world cup season in both track formats. I've only watched a bit but it looks and sounds and feels great!

Just seeing the ice rinks and fans is enough to inspire me. The highlight coverage tends to be crash and bang and who's a cutie, blah blah, but OK we'll live with it to see full races. Yes, you can see what you would not be likely to see much on television...full races with an hour and a half to two and a half hours of coverage in some cases. 

It will all turn to reality shows soon enough but in the meantime, let's watch and let them know we love it!

This is a good sign that some sports can be floated on the web even as a test of what might make it on cable channels or even on NBC sports shows, especially as the Winter Olympics get closer. Universalsports.com, a syndication division of NBC, as I understand it, even has a Speed Skating Channel online. OK it's not a TV channel but it's at least a page that is about speed skating (ice) of Olympic formats. Check it out, but be sure to check the Schedules page if you want to watch hours of events at a time on demand.
